Ismail is a Milan-based Design Entrepreneur whose work offers the unique and valuable marriage between design, business, and consumer behaviour (trends) and is rendered to life through his multiple divisions.
The namesake Ismail Design & Consultancy practice offers clients and collaborators valuable design services, consultancy packages, and workshops. Alongside it grows independently his Industrial Design collaborative practice Studio Ludic and his CMF Lab which houses various CMF & Trend Forecasting projects.
Ismail’s design journey began before Milan where he launched his first private furniture collection in Cairo, Egypt, and worked on residential and commercial spaces. Later in Milan, he has worked on projects with Valerio Sommella, Design Group Italia, Incipit, Matteo Ragni, Antonio de Marco, Huub Ubbens, Paolo Lorini, Diana Castiglione, Basalte, Garçon de Famille, and more.
Ismail has been a collaborator of Francesca Valan since 2017, through which he had the opportunity to work on versatile, truly interesting, and complex projects for some of the world’s largest companies like Lechler, Magis, Beneteau, Giovanard, Jimei, Nankai/Toyo, Tatic Design Studio, Stilnovo, Torneo among others.
He has taught and assisted in lectures and workshops in SPD Milano, PoliMi, MUBA, and KEMET Art & Design Institute, alongside Francesca Valan, Ilkka Suppanen, and others.
Ismail continuously hones his multi-pronged approach to solving the industry’s problems while never losing sight of the designer’s main duty as a human-centered problem solver. There is much value to be given to consumers by unlocking simple yet essential design practices and Ismail made it his life’s mission to consult and design with and for companies, institutes, and brands in order to add value through design and design education.
